Welcome to the 3-star Weßner Hof country house hotel in the Chiemgau region. Those who know us, appreciate that our entire family is there for everyone to provide hospitality that is ‘Bavarian, cosy and good’: Whether we welcome you, as a hotel guest, with a smile, serve you aromatic gourmet treats in the restaurant, or when you experience our farm life.

We have´ a little paradise here where we like to be at home. There are meadows and fields right behind the hotel. The Hochplatte mountain and other mountain peaks frame our Marquartstein. And since we’ve already started to enthuse about the region, we’d also like to mention that we’re very fond of Lake Chiemsee with its blue water and, in the winter, the ski slopes.

homemade

Yes, we greatly enjoy good food and drink and love real Bavarian gourmet treats. We hope you will too. There's an abundance of them at our hotel.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared with much loving attention in our gourmet workshop
There are homemade cakesgateaux, waffles as well as cream puffs, which are made according to grandmother Anni's much sought-after recipe. You can enjoy these sweet treats on Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons in our cosy restaurant or get cakes and gateaux to take away on Sundays from our gourmet truck at the farm.
Our sausage and meat products are produced according to traditional methods in our farm butchery. You can buy these products at the reception desk and additionally, in summer, at the gourmet vending machine in front of the hotel entrance
In winter, we provide pre-cooked meals at the gourmet vending machine
Schnapps, liqueurs and the Weßner Hof gin from our farm distillery for some lively hours

Restaurant

Sustainably is good

Nature and the environment should thrive and, of course, this is also an important issue for us. We talked about what we could do. And decided that: We will act sustainably wherever possible. With our photovoltaic system we generate electricity for our business. We use the leftovers from the restaurant in the biogas plant to produce electricity and hot water. We use the fermentation residues from the biogas plant to fertilise our fields. These form the basis for the feed for our animals, which we then process in our butchery and gourmet workshop.

The leftovers from the catering business then go back to the biogas plant - and the thus cycle starts all over again.

We recycle as much as possible in our kitchen. And focus on regional products. Whether in the farm shop or in the restaurant. This saves food miles. It’s also environmentally friendly.

About us

We are a passionate host family. We are welcoming and sensitive to people’s needs at all times. Our guests would say that our hearts are in the right place. Three generations, from grandmother to granddaughter, work together in our 3-star country house hotel in Bavaria. The fourth generation can be relied on to provide in-house childish light-heartedness and mischievous grins.

We will all ensure that you have a carefree and enjoyable time. Experience Weßner Hof and the Chiemgau region to the full. We are a meeting place for: young families who want a child-friendly holiday, grandmas and grandpas who appreciate spending time together, couples and friends who wish to relax and active people who would prefer to do sports in the Chiemgau region.
